SMFR höll föreläsning på CASIS

SMFR Akademin held a lecture about key challenges faced by the muslim civil society in the west by talking about identity, responsbility and renegotiating existing social contracts for a new minority at Centre for Advanced Studies on Islam, Science and civilization (CASIS) in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for its director, professors and malaysian/indonesian masters graduates from Al-Azhar University in Egypt as well as finance/technology graduates.

Our president talked about issues and strategies to tackle these things, trends, developments and how Muslimska Fredsrörelsen – Svenska Muslimer för Fred och Rättvisa has worked to step by step grown by working on these issues, cater for the needs that exists and work in a long term way to renegotiate the social contract regarding the existence of muslims in Sweden by taking on increased responsibility in society as well as developing future leaders with a strong value (islamic) based identitety.

After we had iftar being treated with traditional malaysian food and having interresting discussions about Aqida, strategies, possibilites, ijtihad and possible ways in easing life for muslims in the west as well as future cooperation. Received alot of interesting thoughts from an intelligent group of people as well as suggestions on reading material.

I was happy that we received the invitation by the director Wan Mohd Nor Wan Daud and had a very fruitful discussion with him and his students and enjoyed the exchanges of ideas
