\nWe welcome you to an exciting poetry workshop that has as its
\ngoal to inspire you to either start writing poetry yourself or
\ncontinue writing poetry if you have already started walking the
\npoets path.
\nIn the educational part of the workshop, you will learn about: The
\ndefinition[s] of poetry The history of poetry Poetry\u2019s place in
\nIslam for insance how it has looked like in the South Asian
\nculture.
\nIn the participative part of the workshop, you will: Be given the
\ntools and methods to help you write your own poem Be coached
\nin \u2018stage presence\u2019 i.e. how to own your space as a performer
\nBe coached in \u2018listeners etiquette\u2019 i.e. how to give your full
\nattention to a work of art that is being performed (adab of the
\nlistener) Write your own poem Perform your own poem Listen to
\nothers perform their poems
\nThe muslim world has always had poetry at the heart of it\u2019s
\naestethic expression and hence poetry has been a highly
\npraised mode of expression used by Muslims since the time of
\nthe Prophet Muhammad (\u0645

\nsoil of Arab culture, an entirely oral culture prior to the advent of
\nthe Qur\u2019an Sharif, it was the love of the Arabs for poetry that
\ntruly made them connect with the Qur\u2019an Sharif at the deepest
\nemotional level, since the Qur\u2019an Sharif spoke to them through
\nthe medium of the spoken word, the medium upon which their
\nentire culture rested.
\nJoey Belmondo will be holding the workshop. He studies social
\nanthropology at Stockholm University and is minoring in
\ninternational relations. From a musical family, art has always
\nbeen a natural part of life for him and he sees his existence as
\nan artist as being inherited rather than earned.

\nI den pedagogiska delen av workshopen kommer du att l\u00e4ra dig
\nom: Poesi och dess definition, poesins historia, poesins plats
\ninom islam d\u00e4r man visar bland annat hur det har sett ut i den
\nsydasiatiska kulturen.
\nI den deltagande delen av workshopen kommer du att: F\u00e5
\nverktygen och metoderna f\u00f6r att hj\u00e4lpa dig att skriva din egen
\ndikt Tr\u00e4nas i ”stage presence”, dvs hur du \u00e4ger scenen och ditt
\nutrymme som artist Tr\u00e4nas i ”lyssnaretikett”, dvs hur du ger full
\nuppm\u00e4rksamhet till ett konstverk som utf\u00f6rs (lyssnarens adab).
\nSkriva din egen dikt, framf\u00f6ra din egen dikt och lyssna p\u00e5 andra
\nframf\u00f6ra sina dikter.
\nDen muslimska v\u00e4rlden har alltid haft poesi i hj\u00e4rtat av sitt
\nestetiska uttryck och f\u00f6ljaktligen har poesi varit ett mycket
