SMFR Stockholm City will invite Dr. Alia Amir who is a conversation analyst to talk about \u201cthe science of conversation\u201d and the landscape of classroom interaction. Whatever we do, we do it through \u201ctalk-in-interaction\u201d, and yet there are many myths about communication but studying talk scientifically helps us understand the different types of communicational landscapes and improve our communication.<\/p>\n
Alia Amir is a Senior Lecturer in English Education at the Department of Language Education in Stockholm University. She trains pre-service English teachers and lectures on ”English in the Classroom” in English I & English II. She was educated at Link\u00f6ping University, Aalborg University and Aarhus University. She studies conversations in a systematic way by collecting and analysing real conversations across settings e.g. in the classrooms, Donald Trump\u2019s speeches, TV shows etc.<\/p>\n

Vad \u00e4n vi g\u00f6r s\u00e5 g\u00f6r vi det genom \u201ctalk-in-interaction\u201d. Det finns mycket myter kring kommunikation, men om man studerar det s\u00e5 hj\u00e4lper det oss att f\u00f6rst\u00e5 att det finns olika typer av kommunikationsmilj\u00f6er och s\u00e4tt att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra v\u00e5r kommunikation.<\/p>\n
Alia Amir \u00e4r en seniorlektor i engelskundervisning p\u00e5 spr\u00e5kavdelningen i Stockholm universitet. Hon undevisar engelska l\u00e4rarstudenter p\u00e5 \u201dEnglish in Classroom\u201d i Engelska I och II. Hon har tidigare studerat i Link\u00f6pings universitet, Aalborg universitet och \u00c5rhus universitet. Hon studerar konversationer I ett systematisk s\u00e4tt genom att samla in och analysera konversationer exempelvis I klassrummet, Donald Trump\u2019s tal, Tv-serier osv.
